Welcome to Fraser Gear
Fraser Gear Limited, originally named Orchard Engineering Limited, is a privately owned family business, operated by Graham and Sharlene Fraser. Graham was one of the original design engineers for the kiwifruit post harvest industry. In June 2000, recognising the growing need for large scale kiwifruit frost and irrigation systems Graham left the post harvest industry to start Orchard Engineering. Over the years Orchard Engineering became the dominant player and expert in this field and also grew their business into a large range of other horticultural equipment. In 2010 Orchard Engineering started customizing bin-handling solutions for the post harvest industry as well and this resulted in the name change to Fraser Gear. Now all Fraser Gear products bear the Fraser Gear logo, a brand that has become well recognised in orchards and packhouses alike. Fraser Gear's recent innovations include the Fraser Inline Bin Sanitiser and the Fraser Gear Pollen Extraction range. |
Fruit HandlingGraham Fraser is one of the original designers of kiwifruit infeed systems in New Zealand. This experience, combined with a desire to innovate and solve new problems ensures Fraser Gear meets the individual needs of the operators in the post harvest industry. Fraser Gear has a number of standardized products, however the business thrives on the innovation and customization required its customers.

Fraser Gear partners with Agfirst Consultants to create turnkey, customized solutions. Fraser Gear builds a large range of systems, with solutions commonly ranging from 2 - 20 filters. Systems can have manual or automatic cleaning. Hydrocyclones can also be added to remove sand from water before it is pumped through the sprinklers. In addition to all this, Fraser Gear will often supply shedding as required to meet the customers needs.
